mukwonago robotics offseason competition
July 26th & 27Th, 2025
Started in 2022, the Mukwonago Robotics Off Season Competition combines an exciting robot competition with offseason fun. Team 930's drive to raise the level of competition for other teams helped to inspire MROC, which hosts tournament-level play comparable to a FIRST Regional. Adding in educational workshops, team social, and mentor matches, MROC is a great event for rookies and veterans alike.
Venue
Mukwonago High School, WEST GYM
605 W Veterans Way
Mukwonago, WI 53149
Load In
Teams can load on Friday, July 25th from 3:00PM - 6:00PM and Saturday, July 26th from
7:00AM - 10:00AM. Please load in through the West Gym doors, marked on the map below.
Webcast
We will live stream the event online at twitch.tv/frcteam930.
Media Consent
A reminder that by attending MROC, you are consenting to have photos and videos taken of you for use by Team 930 and/or FIRST Wisconsin. Thank you!
Competition
We will do alliance selection to form as many complete alliances as possible with the number of teams attending. If we have an odd number, top seeded alliances will get a bye.
Alliance selection will be the same format as the 2025 season, each team getting up to 3 representatives, and the students must outnumber the adults.
All robots should be FRC legal for the 2025 game. There will be no inspections, unless something appears to be an egregious violation of the rules, in which case we will review with the team.
Mentor Matches
MROC will once again be having mentor matches this year! In an effort to simplify the process, please use the sign up below to indicate if you will be participating.
You should supply a mentor driver, a co-driver (if needed for your robot), and a human player. Student coaches are allowed. Students will step in as the field crew for the matches, including referees, so please be considerate as they perform these roles (likely for the first time).
Mentor matches will take place after quals end on Saturday (~6:30pm).We will do our best to get every interested team a mentor match, but will be first come, first served based on sign ups. Alliances will be formed randomly and will be announced the day of.
Currently we are looking for more teams to be able to hold mentor matches, please
consider signing up!

Human Player Matches
Human player matches will take place in between playoffs on Sunday, in which game play will be performed as usual but with Human Robots! Each team that wishes to participate will send a representative down to the field, similar to original alliance selection.
Some representatives will be participating as human robots and some as traditional human players. We will go over some brief rules before human player matches that can be seen below.
● No going to the other side of the field. Students may not go under the barge.
● No running, speed walking is allowed
● No climbing allowed, but students may “park” in the zones
● No throwing coral or aggressively tossing down the chutes
Breaking any of these rules will result in a tech foul and/or being pulled from the match as these are in place for safety. All participants will help field reset after the matches as well.
Spectators
The event is open to the public, spectators and fans are welcome to attend!
Concessions
Team 930’s Bot Booster group will have concessions available during the event for
purchase. A menu will be sent out closer to the event. Breakfast and lunch items will be available for cash or Venmo purchase. Concessions are a fundraiser for Team 930.
Unofficial Mentor/Alumni Social
An informal Mentor/Alumni social will be taking place at Boneyard Pub & Grille after
matches end on Saturday.

Live Student Correspondents
At MROC 2025, we will be having a live sports desk doing match analysis and interviewing teams throughout the weekend. We would love to have interested students from all the teams sign up to be at that desk for a couple matches to help add to the event. You'll be at the desk for 2 matches:
● 1 match where you can do pre and post match analysis with one of our MROC Live Correspondents if you'd like
● 1 match where you can showcase something exciting you or your team has done
this year. Could be something cool about your robot's design or programming.
Could be about your outreach. It can be about anything you'd like
You will be on stream during the time between matches, likely for ~3 minutes each unless there are match delays. We will come find you ahead of time to do pre-interviews so that everyone at the desk is prepared to make it a successful showcase.
If you are interested in being at the desk, please fill out this form:

School Supply Donation Drive

looking to collect backpacks filled with school supplies that we will donate to food pantries
and organizations around Southeast Wisconsin. Example items to donate include:
● Notebooks & Binders
● Pens & Pencils
● Markers, Crayons, Coloring Supplies
● Backpacks
Thank you for your generosity and helping those in need!
PPE
Safety glasses and closed-toed shoes must be worn while in the pits and within the
competition field area. Limited safety glasses will be available for public spectators, teams
need to provide their own safety glasses.
Pits
Pits will be 10’ x 10’ and have power available, but we will not be providing tables. Please bring all equipment with you that is required for your pit.
Machine Shop
Due to power and facility limitations, we ask that teams refrain from heavy machine use such as drill presses or band saws in their pits. We will have our machine shop open and staffed if there are any parts you need fabricated. Teams will need to provide their own material.
Volunteers
We are so happy that you will be attending our fourth annual MROC event. We would like to extend an invitation to be a part of this great event by volunteering. There are many ways that you or your team can help.
We are pretty much full with volunteers for MROC! You can still sign up but roles are limited.
If you or someone you know is interested in helping out, please fill out this MROC
Volunteer Sign up.
